We participated in Break the SIlence walk to support Melissa and Jeff Lago-Jones's mother. Majority of the teachers from Ohio School for the Deaf participated as well. It was such a beautiful day for the walk. Melissa's mother, Marie has been battling the ovarian cancer for two years. Two weeks after the event, she passed away. She was such a beautiful woman, wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed very much by us.

Tova has been wanting to be a dragonfly for Halloween since the past spring. We actually did it! we made the costume.. it wasn't so hard but it was such a long progress. enjoy the results! :)

I went with six OSD students and 30 Italians (part of sister schools relationship) and three other OSD staff- total of 40 people to New York for a week. We stopped by Niagara Falls, ROchester, NY; Hartford, Connecticut; and NEW YORK CITY! we all had a blast time together!

OSD/Italians at America School for Deaf Kids front of Gallaudet and Cogswell statue at ASD

we visited Niagara Falls!

We had two lovely Italian girls staying with us as part of Family weekend experience. Their names are Alessandra and Valentina. We had a grand time! Friday night we went to the Italy Festival in Downtown Columbus, listening to music, eating Italian dessert (cannoli and Tirsmu-oooo!), we also met up with other people who are doing the family weekend there. The kids went off checking out the festival while we old farts sat around chatting. I got the taste of what it will be like having a teenager. :D fun!! Saturday, we did what the Italians are famous for- shopping. The girls absolutely loved Polaris Mall. I also took them to the local stores for specific things they wanted. We stopped by Steak and Shake for lunch. first time for me to eat there. the girls went crazy over the hamburgers. :) then we went to Gameworks that night to meet up with other Italians and the host families. Sunday, we had an opportunity to go in the OSU Horseshoe stadium.

Dad: remember Jennifer and I would always "fly" on your feet? I did that with Tova- it was so much fun! enjoy the first picture of our first "flight". :D

Tova had Alina, her friend from class slee over and we went to Leed's Farm. It was different than Circle S farm- more activities for the preschoolers to do. The kids enjoyed themselves very much!! The farm also made fresh kern popcorn. yumyum!



















We visited Leed's Farm with friends and then went back again with the class. This farm has so many activities for the preschoolers! I recommend the place! During the hayride, Tova saw a sign saying "cauton: Squirrel party ahead" and they had a house with squirrels having a party. Too funny.
